    The Role:

    As a Senior Python Developer at Flowie, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable API services and event-driven architectures. Your expertise will ensure our platform can handle high request volumes and complex event processing efficiently.


    Key Responsibilities:

    1. API Development:
      • Design, develop, and maintain scalable API services capable of handling more than 10 requests per second.
      • Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of API endpoints.
    2. Event-Driven Architecture:
      • Implement and manage event-based systems to handle complex workflows and data processing.
      • Develop and maintain event-driven services and infrastructure
    3. Performance Optimization:
      • Optimize API services for performance, scalability, and efficiency.
      • Anticipate future growth and implement solutions that can scale accordingly.
    4. Code Quality and Standards:
      • Maintain high standards of code quality through code reviews and adherence to best practices.
      • Ensure the maintainability, scalability, and extensibility of the codebase.
    5. Collaboration and Mentorship:
      • Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions.
      • Mentor junior developers and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
    6. Innovation and Best Practices:
      • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices in API development, event-driven systems and MLops.
      • Propose innovative solutions to challenging problems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    7. Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
      • Resolve complex technical issues related to API services and event-driven systems.
      • Provide support for critical production incidents and ensure quick resolution of backend-related problems.


    Job requirements

    Requirements:

    • At least 4 years of experience as a Python Developer, with a strong focus on building scalable API services.
    • Proficiency in Python and experience with MLops frameworks and tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow).
    • Experience in using LLMs for text mining.
    • Proven experience with event-driven architectures and systems (Kafka, Pulsar ...).
    • Proficiency in Python frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI and experience with MLop.
    • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and experience with libraries such as asyncio or Celery.
    • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
