The Role:

As a Senior Data Engineer at Flowie, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure. You will ensure that our data systems are scalable, reliable, and efficient, enabling our teams to leverage data for strategic decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support various data needs across the organization.
  • Develop and optimize data architectures to ensure efficient data storage, processing, and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
  • Collaborate with revenue, marketing, and other stakeholders to generate strong customer insights to create product led growth.
  • Implement and manage data warehousing solutions, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying them to improve our data infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.
  • Mentor junior data engineers and promote best practices in data engineering.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in data architecture and pipeline development.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL databases).
  • Strong programming skills in Python or other relevant languages. (Scala is a plus) 
  • Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data services.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
