The Role:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Flowie, you will play a crucial role in designing and building robust backend systems primarily using Python. Your expertise will ensure that our platform consistently delivers exceptional performance and reliability for all our users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of backend services using Python within a microservice architecture, incorporating technologies like Apache Pulsar and Postgres.
• Ensure robust data management and seamless integration with frontend systems and third-party services.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to create efficient APIs and optimize the performance of backend-to-frontend interactions.
• Drive best practices in backend development, including code quality, security, testing, and performance optimization.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work closely with product and design teams to deliver intuitive and responsive user interfaces.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and trends to ensure our platform remains cutting-edge.

Requirements:

• At least 8 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer, with a proven track record in building scalable and high-performance systems using Python.
• Deep understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and server-side technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
